Paul Sharp graduated from the Royal College of Music in 1999 in joint first study trumpet and natural trumpet and now enjoys a busy career as an orchestral trumpet player and performer of period brass instruments.
He plays regularly with the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment including as guest principal trumpet. He has toured extensively around Europe, North and South America, Australia and Japan playing with groups including the English Chamber Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Orcherstra of Europe.
Paul also performs regularly with period instrument groups the English Baroque Soloists, Gabrieli Consort and Kings Consort. He has played on numerous recordings of Bach cantatas with the EBS and Sir John Eliot Gardiner, and for BBC television, The Genius of Mozart, Eroica, and Beethoven Uncovered.
